The Alps-Adriatic-Alliance has recently opened a new call for projects until October 24th 2022. One example from the recent call in spring 2022 are the “Đuro Kokša-Days of Spirituality and Heritage” at the Molve Sanctuary in Koprivnica Križevci County/CRO:
The goal of the project is to promote the role of sacral heritage and its influence on spiritual tourism. The Molve Sanctuary with its developing pastoral centre is already an official “must see” point at the „Amazon of Europe Bike Trail“ (Stage S7). The public impact of the project activities for the AAA will be visible in all five countries which are part of the bike trail: Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Serbia. The „Amazon of Europe Bike Trail“ is an essential part of the of the “5-Country UNESCO Transboundary Biosphere Reserve Mura-Drava-Danube (TBR MDD)” and Molve as an historic place of pilgrimage is practically in the heart of this “Amazon of Europe”.
