On April 29th 2026 the Presiding member of the Alps-Adriatic-Alliance, Međimurje County (CRO) invited the administrative level to the County´s seat in Čakovec to a workshop on the network´s future issues. Delegates from 11 partner regions across Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia, along with the Alliance’s General Secretariat, participated in fruitful debates.
Discussions centred on charting the Alliance’s strategic direction, prioritising an even greater political visibility, stronger project management effectiveness, and accelerated interregional collaboration.
Attendees explored upcoming initiatives, strategies for interregional promotion, and avenues for expanding the Alliance’s membership.
The meeting in Čakovec highlighted the Alps-Adriatic Alliance’s pivotal role as a forum for advancing interregional cooperation, exchanging expertise, and coordinating development, sustainability, and European integration efforts.
