The AAA-project “Cultural-Pitches for New Bridges” was nominated by the Austrian Federal Chancellery as a candidate for the award “Europa Staatspreis 2023”.
The project which was initiated by “Styrian Summer Art from Pöllau was organized as a networking trip of local cultural initiatives to Novi Sad, the European Capital of Culture 2022, last November. The central point of the program was an international cultural conference in which 17 cultural initiatives from Styria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Serbia presented examples of their cultural initiatives and art projects and explored the possibilities of cross-border project partnerships. The conference was followed with great attention by the political leaders of the participating countries and the Serbian media.
The winners of this year´s “Europa Staatspreis” will be announced at a ceremony on Europe Day, Tuesday 9 May 2023, in Vienna.
