In November 2014 Alpen-Adria Universität Klagenfurt (Carinthia) took over the presidency of the
Alps-Adriatic Rectors´ Conference (AARC) from University of Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina for
2015/2016.
On January 22nd 2015 the Scientific Committee of the AARC has met at Alpen-Adria Universität
Klagenfurt under the chairmanship of Rector Oliver Vitouch and Vice Rector Cristina Beretta.
In the course of the meeting Henriette Dancs from Savaria University Campus in Szobathely (Vas
County/HUN) presented the TCP on Higher Education of the Alps-Adriatic-Alliance (AAA) and invited
the participants to its initial meeting in Szombathely on March 9th 2015.
The AARC was founded in 1979 and represents a network of more than 30 universities. The TCP on
Higher Education is intended to become a link between the AAA and the AARC.
