From the 2 nd to the 4 th of June 2016 the Alps-Adriatic Young Writers Festival was organized in four towns in the Croatian Counties Koprivnica Križevci and Varaždin. The aim was to present modern and young Central European literature to the audience and to foster contacts of young writers from the Alps-Adriatic area. By combining literary, educational and entertaining contents, the guests of the festival were reading their works in high schools, museums and cafés in the cities Koprivnica, Križevci, Đurđevac and Varaždin. The possibility
of further collaboration was discussed at a round table-event. The festival helped young Central European writers to get to know each other and it may have the potential to become
a platform for future collaboration, especially by creating a network of literary festivals and through the publishing of the works of young writers from the Alps-Adriatic area.
