On the occasion of the OPEN DAYS 2014 – the 12th European Week of Regions and Cities – which took place in Brussels from the 6th to the 9th of October 2014, Carinthia´s Governor and current Chairman of the Alps-Adriatic-Council Dr. Peter Kaiser was awarded with the “European Projects Award”.
The renowned European Projects Association (EPA) granted the award for Governor Kaiser´s personal achievements for the European Union and the whole European Society.
“I see this award as a confirmation of our work in Carinthia. We all need the European Union to maintain peace on our continent. We need the EU also in order to guarantee economic growth, to maintain and create jobs and to survive in a globalized world”, said Governor Kaiser in his acceptance speech at the European Parliament.
