Women Music Network Amplified (WMN Amplified) is a AAA music project held from June 6th to 8th 2024, at the Varteks complex in Varaždin, in partnership with the KVART festival. WMN Amplified aims to introduce talented regional female singer-songwriters to the local community and enhance young people’s professional capacities and networking opportunities in music and culture.
The project began with a conference where cultural organizations from the Alps Adriatic region presented themselves and their international project opportunities to the youth. Representatives of the Women’s Action Forum then led an inspiring World Cafe on the topic “Women* in Culture”.
Young people interested in music and culture then had the opportunity to attend the workshop “From Idea to Project – opportunities for youth” by Dorotea Solomun, Head of the EU- Project Department at the Varaždin Tourist Board and the workshop “Managing a Music Team 101” by Sonja Denda, a music manager and assistant to five-time Grammy-winning artist Michael League.
WMN Amplified culminated in a musical lineup featuring regional female singers and songwriters from Croatia, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.
